Meditation is a form of entry to our intuition. We all have intuition we just don’t know how to tap into it to bring forth a clear picture of what we need to know. It is a gut feeling, an infinite intelligence, something we just feel is right about a thought we have just had.
Meditation allows us to become quiet, relaxed and ready to receive what is being made clear to us through the quieting of our mind. We have access to any kind of information within the universal mind that we are looking for just by allowing our mind to question something and then go there for the answer.
Meditation: To engage in mental exercise (such as concentration on one’s breathing or repetition of a mantra) for the purpose of reaching a heightened level of spiritual awareness.
To begin your meditation practices, you might want to try these steps to prepare yourself to receive the guidance you need or to get the answers you want.
- Sit in a chair that is a little rigid, not to comfortable, you don’t want to fall asleep, you just want to be relaxed.
- Feet a little separated and flat on the floor. Hands in your lap. You want to put your hands together with palms facing each other. Moving them in and out. You want to produce a line of energy between your palms. Soon after you begin this exercise you will start to feel the energy forming between your hands. You will feel a pulsating in the air between your hands. When you feel like you have produced this energy, turn your hands over with palms facing up. You are now ready to receive information from the the Universal Mind that will come forth in your own mind. It may be only a word or a short sentence. Take note of it.
- Next , ask questions in your mind such as – “I am open to receive your message.” “I will use this information for the good of all concerned.” Maybe you will ask who your Guardian Angel is and you may or may not receive an answer at this particular moment but sometime after, it may come to you when you least expect. Right now you are just learning to connect to a higher source. As time goes by in your practice of meditating you will receive many messages which you will have to accept or reject as you see fit. When you feel confident that you have received what you have asked for you will begin to take yourself back to the place where you began your meditation. Allow yourself to come back to the “here and now” slowly and open your eyes. You will remember every detail and feel so very calm. You then can take the information you have received and work with it in your own way.
- Your meditation sessions can last as long as you want them to but the average time for meditation is between 15 to 30 minutes. Enjoy your journey.
